Let Go of the Past

It is amazing how people want things to change but only complain when that change occurs. Wrestling fans wanted an alternative to WWE and got their wish in 2019 with the creation of a new promotion called All-Elite Wrestling. Within four years, AEW has become the second wrestling promotion in the United States. Yet, with its dedication to those of us that were hardcore wrestling we finally got what we wanted. People now are clamoring for AEW to change and stop catering to their hardcore fan base because they need to grab the "casual fan." What is a casual fan? A term that is loosing used within the wrestling community, but noone has a true definition. We have wrestling greats saying that AEW not grabbing those "casuals" they may not survive. Have they ever been to a live event? I have attended three AEW live events and they are wonderful. The crowd is energetic and has plenty of fun. I have also recently attended an WWE event and the crowd was good , but it was nothing compared to an AEW crowd. The WWE event I recently attended was the first one in about twenty-four years. Yes, 24 years, I was about 7 months pregnant with my daughter when I attended my last WWE event. I believe that we need to let go of the past and embrace the future with the change that AEW has brought into what was the stale wrestling business.
