5 Years of Double or Nothing....WTF

We all know that AEW delivers in Pay-Per-Views, and DoN was no different. As far as PPVs go for 2024, this one would have to be the second best. I say that with great bias, as I was in attendance for Revolution, so of course, it was my favorite. This morning's discourse about DoN is that "it was too long." Hey, idiot, you know AEW does long PPVs, so shut the fuck up and enjoy it, or just don't watch it. Content creators bitch about it being too long, but then bitch because you don't have content....make up your damn mind; you CAN'T HAVE YOUR CAKE and EAT IT TOO!!!

Now, getting into the PPV itself, overall, was great. Not once did I feel like I was going to fall asleep. It held my attention for 5 plus hours (including the buy-in). We got the return of two much-needed characters in Juice Robinson. Yes, the JUICE IS BACK! This will add more to the Bang Bang Gang. The next return was probably the biggest one, the one and only..... Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF. MJF drops a killer promo saying that he has always bet on himself and he isn't going anywhere; as he stated, he is "ALL IN." Can't wait to see what is in store for him at Wembley Stadium.

The matches were great and well-placed on the card. If I had to pick a match that I did not like, it would have to be the Orange Cassidy/Trent match. That is only because I am not a fan of OC, but the story between the two was good. We got some title changes, which are being complained about as I type this on Busted Open. As one who is not a fan of women's wrestling, I even liked both women's matches. One of the most underrated people on the AEW roster has to be Christian Cage. Being a fan of his since his WWE days, he is still killing it both in the ring and on the mic. His match with Swerve was a classic.

Now, the key match of the night, Anarchy In The Arena, was just what it said. It had to be the best Anarchy match ever. I even popped when Danielson said to play my theme and Final Countdown hits (I am a huge Europe fan, the band). I don't care if it cost $200,000 each time it was played; it was money well spent. Darby with the flame thrower and setting Jack Perry on fire was great. Can someone check and see what the HELL DARBY'S BONES ARE MADE OF???? He has to be friends with Wolverine to heal like that..lol. I can't wait for Wednesday to see what will happen on Dynamite from Los Angeles, CA.
